Description:
The Arizona Department of Health Services and the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence formed a unique partnership to equip Arizona’s early childhood home visitors to deal with the issue of domestic violence. A statewide effort was launched that connected local domestic violence professionals to the home visitors in their communities through local domestic violence training. Familiarity with local DV providers combined with an understanding of domestic violence increased the home visitor’s confidence and willingness to address DV.
