  1. Have an understanding of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) framework on social determinants of health.
  2. Understand CDC’s Division of Violence Prevention overall approach to addressing inequities in risk for violence.
  3. Have an understanding of how this framework can be applied to addressing inequities in risk for child maltreatment and intimate partner violence.

Description:
This session will introduce participants to the World Health Organization’s framework on the Social Determinants of Health and to examples of how CDC’S Division of Violence Prevention uses the framework to understand and address inequities in risk for violence.
