Learning Objectives:
  1. Participants will be able to define the scope of the issue of childhood exposure to violence (CEV) and the critical role that medical, mental health and public health providers deliver to children exposed to violence and/or trauma.
  2. Participants will be able to explain the ways in which children can fall between the cracks when medical, mental health and other types of providers are not working hand in hand.
  3. Participants will explore and discuss a model for collaboration between medical providers, mental health treatment and other service providers serving children exposed to violence.
Description:
This co-lead presentation will highlight the importance of multisystem collaboration in addressing the issue of CEV and trauma, as well as opportunities for early intervention and prevention.
