Learning Objectives:
  1. Understand the ways in which evidence-based practice is driving policy and programming.
  2. Understand approaches that advocates or providers can use to partner with researchers, measure innovation and lay the groundwork for more in-depth evaluation.
  3. Identify strategies to adapt evidence models and still maintain fidelity.

Description:
The move towards evidence based practice is driving clinical and public health programs nationwide. However, in some programs and communities evidence based models limit innovation and diversity of approaches. How can we promote partnerships between researchers and advocates to encourage rigorous, practice informed research and evaluation of programs that promote health and safety for victims of violence? How can we incorporate adaptations for evidence based models and still maintain fidelity?
