Learning Objectives:
  1. Recognize teen dating violence, its correlations with other adolescent health risks, including teen pregnancy, youth suicide, and substance abuse, and disproportional impact on youth of color
  2. Identify with confidence the RED FLAGS teen dating violence quick screen and methods for identifying TDV early
  3. Acquire a set of tools and a plan for implementing a cross-disciplinary coordinated community response to teen dating violence

Description:
This inspiring and interactive workshop will engage participants in moving from a basic understanding of teen dating violence and its intersectionality with other adolescent health risks to taking action by engaging allies across disciplines, working with limited resources, and meaningfully partnering with youth at every level of preventing TDV. Participants will leave with culturally-relevant tools, resources and a plan to implement a culturally-relevant TDV SPI in their communities or states.
