Description:
This workshop is designed as a primer for participants to learn basics of elder abuse, often described as mistreatment. Elder abuse has features of domestic violence however there are important differences which relate to identification and the health care response. We provide didactic information in an interactive medium using audience response technology to provide information and skills to teach caregivers in medicine, nursing, social work and the other allied health fields to respond to this ongoing and emerging issue.
