Learning Objectives:
  1. Learn key elements of working with youth from a culturally-specific and/or faith-based perspective, and how to apply cultural/faith teachings towards making healthy choices
  2. Gain skills and knowledge for talking to teens about relationships, and for supporting young people to make healthy relationship choices now and in the future
  3. Gain tools to create culturally-specific and/or faith-based youth programming on dating violence prevention and healthy relationships education
Description:
This session presents “Love Shouldn’t Hurt,” a dating violence prevention program that can be adapted to any faith or cultural community. This workshop will give participants comprehensive tools on how to create a culturally specific dating violence prevention program in their community. We will demonstrate specific tools and practice interactive activities (based on our published curriculum) that participants can take home and use in working with youth or those who work with youth.
