"ALERT to Domestic Violence" is an acronym which provides an outline to comprehensive steps of intervention for healthcare providers. The steps outlined by "ALERT to Domestic Violence" provide guidance along the continuum of healthcare intervention with victims of domestic violence, and reflects best practice standards, adheres to guidelines outlined by the Joint Commission, and recommends use of a validated screening tool.
