Learning Objectives:
  1. increase knowledge and reflection on such a dialogue could inspire health professionals to gain interest and intent to raise such questions in their clinical work. This in turn could improve and deepen the dialogue with young women, but also increase the satisfaction of midwives and physicians regarding their work.
  2. be able to reflect on the result which shows the possibilities on a dialogue about sexuality and sexual abuse, told by midwives and physicians.
Description:
The result shows several possibilities in creating a dialogue on sexuality and sexual abuse with young women. It is about creating a respectful meeting, the potential to strengthening women in their sexual health, using personal skills and assets in the dialogue and having support from the organization. Obstacles will also be presented and they are about lack of organizational support, lack of communicative skills and difficult emotions which restrained physicians and midwives from raising sexual issues.
