Description:
The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic developed a universal behavioral health screening tool, including subcategories for domestic violence, depression, and alcohol use. Low disclosure rates of domestic violence, led to a revision which utilized a Likert scale to screen for domestic violence. This was expanded to include both woman and men. As a result, the rate of disclosure has increased significantly. Self reported victims are then connected to much needed behavioral health and social services.
