Description:
Faith communities are places of hope and refuge. Those experiencing abuse and domestic violence seek comfort and help here first and often faith leaders are ill-equipped. This poster session highlights the prevalence of domestic violence in communities and brings awareness to the fact that domestic violence is not a private matter, but affects the entire community. Participants will engage in a healing ritual, obtain tools to recognize and understand the dynamics and signs of domestic violence and develop action plans.
