Learning Objectives:
  1. have gained a perspective on how structural differences have an impact on learning outcomes
  2. have been involved in a discussion on different forms of resistance to knowledge on DV and will have taken part in proposing solutions
  3. have achieved insight on educational challenges when introducing controversial subjects in University programs
Description:
We offer a comparison of DV-training in two structurally different university programs. The medical program is a vocational training aiming at clinical interventions whereas the public health program is aiming at prevention. The programs offer different educational challenges; in the case of the medical program it is still a question of putting DV “on the map”, while in the public health program it has been possible to develop a thematic progression, since this program incorporates theories on gender and power.
