Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe course as innovative format to analyze domestic violence impact on women's/family health on global, national and local levels.
  2. Illustrate how health and domestic violence issues are examined using a service learning model.
Description:
Through the ongoing partnership with a local sexual assault assistance program and a woman's college senior level interdisciplinary general education course (WORLD 420),students work collaborative with the program to address and work toward authentic and viable solutions to effect community change. A service learning model brings global human rights issues home for students and enables them to see their role as agents of change and activism.
