- be aware of a unique program offered through the Metro Nashville Police Department, as a model for responding to victims of domestic violence.
- understand how a multi-faceted response to victims of domestic violence may be put into place.

The domestic violence counseling program, housed within the Metro Nashville Domestic Violence Division, was established in 1994 and continues to provide a unique, multi-faceted response to victims of domestic violence.
