Description:
Mariposa: Wings to Safety is a hospital based domestic violence program that provides 24/7 advocacy to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We recently began a program providing Orders of Protection through the Maricopa County Justice Court from within the hospital. We will present program origins and the process of obtaining Orders. We will discuss how the Orders differ from those of the Superior Court and the benefits and acceptance of the program by domestic violence victims.
