Description:
This pre-conference institute is limited to current Project Connect grantees.Project Connect is a national initiative to change how adolescent and reproductive health programs respond to sexual and domestic violence. Project Connect's multi-pronged approach includes: creating and disseminating enhanced clinical interventions to address sexual and domestic violence, patient education materials on the connection between abuse and their health, policy and systems change, pilot programs to offer basic health services within sexual and domestic violence programs, and evaluation n the health impact of abuse and the impact of health-based interventions. Project Connect is currently funding ten geographically and demographically diverse communities across the nation: Delaware, Idaho, Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians (MI), Maryland, Minnesota, Nooksack Indian Tribe (WA), Oregon, Pennsylvania, The Queens Medical Center (HI), Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada.
