Description:
As a medical student, I was surprised by how little interdisciplinary training about intimate partner violence (IPV) we received: how to connect patients with social work, how to testify on a patient’s behalf in court, how to work with nurses to screen patients. I worked with experts in multiple disciplines to design this training, which aims to encourage conversation among medical, law, nursing, public health, and social work students, allowing us to more effectively collaborate to support survivors of IPV.
