Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe the content of behavioral interventions that focus on IPV and HIV prevention.
  2. Describe the gaps in the literature related to behavioral interventions that focus on IPV and HIV prevention.
Description:
The presentation describes the content and efficacy of three types of behavioral interventions: prevention that addresses both IPV and HIV among women, HIV prevention for IPV survivors, and IPV prevention for women at risk for HIV. The findings have implications for the content development of future interventions to address the intersection of IPV and HIV among women and suggest a need to focus future prevention research on shared risk and protective factors.
