Description:
Violence against women is an all too common problem on college campuses in the United States. While many colleges and universities are trying to improve this, they still need support and action from all of us. This workshop discusses the many ways that all members of the college and wider community can become involved. Whether you are a president, advocate, faculty, researcher, nurse, student, parent, or anything in between, you have an important role to play in ending violence against women on college campuses. This interactive discussion will highlight how to build a comprehensive campus program, from policy making to social norm change. Faculty will present recent research, policy efforts, and best practices on preventing and responding to dating violence, sexual assault and stalking on campus.
