Description:
As one of ten Project Connect sites, Virginia’s Leadership Team constructed and implemented a comprehensive, multi-tiered collaborative response to enhance family planning and home visitor response to family violence. This session will highlight how, with the guidance of home visitors, family planning nurses and advocates, provider-specific curricula were developed; a train-the-trainer model was executed to educate over 800 providers; screening and referral policies/procedures were implemented and institutionalized; and evaluation activities were conducted to ensure continuous quality improvement.
