Description:
The Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence has developed a comprehensive Toolkit to help hospitals and health care providers improve their domestic violence response. We will explore key aspects of this Toolkit, using a new documentary film as a point of reference. "Power and Control: Domestic Violence in America" was partly filmed in Baltimore and includes a focus on the hospital-based crisis counseling and advocacy intervention program at Mercy Medical Center, where much of the toolkit evolved.
