  1. Develop a systemic medical evaluation abd documentation of an acute domestic violence strangulation victim
  2. Identify and list investigative questions to be included in a law enforcement report when investigating strangulation injuries seen in domestic violence incidences
  3. Describe ways strangulation injuries can be presented to a jury, and discuss use of powerpoint and dynamometer in a jury trial and to develop questions to clarify the strangulation issues for a jury.
Description:
This report will define what the correct terminology and definition of strangulation injuries. Various methods of strangulation commonly seen in domestic violence incidences will be discussed with the understanding of how these various methods can affect the injury pattern and risk of death. Presenting signs and symptoms and significance that may be seen after a strangulation injury will be described. Statistical analysis of types of methods used in domestic violence strangulation incidences will be described.
