Description:
This report will introduce participants to a community-based participatory research study assessing the needs and preferences of intimate partner violence (IPV) prevention targeting Hispanics. The report will discuss culturally specific factors and describe the development of a prevention program targeting Hispanic youth in Miami-Dade County. Community and academic partners will share findings from original and secondary data, identify culturally specific risk and protective factors associated with IPV among Hispanics and review the empirical literature that offers strategies to address these.
