  2. Describe health, support and service disparities as they exist for sub-populations of survivors
Description:
This presentation will describe the results of a narrative study of black lesbian survivors of domestic violence living in a large, urban city. The theory of intersectionality was used as a framework for understanding the findings. Barriers will be identified that represent problems at every level of service delivery and within the systems of American culture. Also briefly addressed will be ways to improve services through engagement in efforts to reduce the impact of these oppressions.
