Learning Objectives:
  1. Explore how women subjected to intimate partner violence want to be treated when they meet health care professionals
  2. Obtain a better understanding of the abused women´s voices which could strengthen, inspire and engage health care professionals to initiate a dialogue with women on intimate partner violence
Description:
Women welcome health care professionals to raise questions about intimate partner violence, but many women subjected to IPV are dissatisfied with the treatment they receive when visiting health services. The study gives increased knowledge about how women subjected to IPV would like to be treated, not only related to acute visits, but also in other situations when health care professionals meet with them and have the possibility to help, which in turn can increase the improvement of women´s life situation.
