Description:
This presentation will report on the development, implementation, and outcomes of a training program designed to increase the effectiveness and regularity of DV screening. The training sessions were offered to a diverse group of health care workers throughout Connecticut. Collaboration with community-based DV assistance programs enhanced inter-institution relationships and strengthened referral networks. This presentation will report on the successful outcomes of these trainings, the anthropological methods used to construct relevant and compelling training programs, and directions for future work.
