Description:
To achieve meaningful changes in teen behavior, teens need a safe space where they can explore relationship norms. Start Strong Atlanta developed a social networking website, Facebook pages and Twitter accounts to provide teens with space to voice their norms about relationships and challenge harmful ones. The website needed to be developed by teens to produce culturally competent content that reflects teen community realities. The presentation details a process examining the effectiveness of teen involvement in the developing social media.
