Description:
Revised Joint Commission (JC) Standards on domestic violence (DV) require staff education, patient screening/referral and follow-up. OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, Illinois) has responded by developing DV education for new and existing employees and by hosting an interdisciplinary conference for healthcare providers and hospital staff. This presentation describes our experience with development, implementation and follow-up of the educational program, and with the interdisciplinary conference.
