Description:
This poster presents findings from a mixed method research study that examined the structure and function of sexual minorities’ informal social networks. Many researchers and practitioners see informal networks as important in the prevention of intimate partner violence (IPV) in sexual minority relationships, however little is known about who makes up these networks or the kinds of support they provide. This poster will outline ways to use the findings to inform IPV prevention strategies for sexual minority communities.
