Description:
This paper will describe the results of the UK Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey which collected information on intimate partner violence and adult psychiatric disorders in both men and women. All psychiatric disorders (other than male eating disorders) were associated with lifetime adulthood partner violence and similar findings were found for recent violence. However, the population attributable fractions were greater for all disorders (other than psychosis) in women than in men.
