  3. Recognize the challenges and opportunities for the field of intimate partner violence as it collaborates with home visitor programs
Description:
Massachusetts is developing a protocol for home visitors to screen and respond to intimate partner violence and enhance needed local collaborations. The discussion will include a review of the role of both home visitors and community based domestic violence advocates. Through the Affordable Care Act, a federal home visiting program was created to provide states with funding to implement evidence-based programs to improve maternal and child health, including a focus on addressing intimate partner violence.
