  1. be able to describe what a Violence Intervention Team looks like and how it functions in improving care of the patient and the community by providing intervention and prevention strategies.
  2. be able to discuss how VIN teams will benefit the hospital staff and the community in their care of the patient experiencing violence.
  3. be able to discuss how Violence Intervention Nursing teams will assist hospitals in reaching and exceeding the standards regarding the screening for violence by the Joint Commission.
