  1. Identify innovative strategies to implement recommendations on screening for lifetime exposure to violence including utilizing technology to support bio-psychosocial screening.
  2. Describe how national health associations are supporting their members to identify, respond and prevent abuse.
  3. Feature partnerships between health care professionals and advocates that are working together to improve the health and safety of victims of violence.

Description:
The last two years have brought about tremendous changes to the health care response to violence in the U.S. New recommendations for screening for domestic violence as a core women’s preventive health service and renewed commitment to violence prevention as part of a National Prevention Strategy will open the door to making assessment and response to violence across the lifespan a new standard of care. Panelists will discuss a shared commitment to doing this work safely and effectively and will share innovative approaches to move these policies from ideas into action.
