Description:
The ACT Parents Raising Safe Kids Program at John F. Kennedy University partnered with La Clinica de La Raza to train Promotores in safe parenting and violence prevention. The APA's Training-the-Trainers program is for work in the Latino communities. These community health educators will add safe parenting practices and violence-prevention as co-occurring issues and tools on health care topics. La Clinica’s Promotores meet regularly with families in Latino homes to discuss subjects related to maintaining good health and community life.
