Description:
This presentation will describe the Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative (DVPI), a national IHS program supporting 65 domestic violence and sexual assault (DV/SA) prevention and treatment projects in American Indian/Alaska Native communities. The pilot projects adhere to reporting requirements to help determine the most effective means for combating DV/SA in Tribal and Urban Indian communities. This demonstration initiative will be used to identify successful evidence-based and practice-based programs that can be replicated across the Indian health system.
