Description:
Given the complexity of abuse in later life, collaboration among victim service organizations, health care, and other professionals is crucial. This interactive workshop will focus on effective interdisciplinary models throughout that country that are addressing the needs of older victims. Participants will learn about domestic violence and sexual assault programming for older victims, coordinated community response teams throughout the United States; University of California – Irvine’s Elder Abuse Forensic Center and New York City’s Elder Abuse Center.
