Innovative/Promising Practice Program Report

  2. Identify five venues, programs, and/or interventions in which photovoice can be used to engage teens as partners in public health
  3. Identify three partnerships where cross-collaboration would assist in creating photovoice projects for youth
Description:
This report will illustrate photovoice as a unique and innovative approach to understanding the experiences and perceptions of teens concerning dating relationships and their influence on health. The use of photovoice as an evaluation of public health initiatives will be highlighted using Iowa’s PREP and Project Connect programs. Using Technology of Participation® facilitation methods, presenters will model the use of consensus building methods, culminating in participant plans for future photovoice projects within their organization.
