Description:
The conceptual model and evaluation methodology for the Green Dot program, a comprehensive evaluation of a bystander intervention training program will be presented. The evaluation of this program includes three major components designed to measure behavior change, rates of violence in schools, and diffusion of bystanding behaviors across peer networks. Challenges and recommended solutions to gaining access to schools, collecting longitudinal data across 26 schools, and assessing fidelity to the curriculum and conceptual model will be presented.
