Innovative/Promising Practice Program Report

Learning Objectives:
  1. Explore the intersection of intimate partner violence (IPV) and postpartum depression (PPD)
  2. Recognize the challenges and barriers which States and communities are facing in addressing the co-morbidities of IPV and PPD
  3. Identify the needs of States and communities in order to better address IPV and PPD in the future. This includes what new resources and trainings are being developed for providers and what resources will be created for women experiencing IPV/PPD
Description:
The co-morbidities of IPV and PPD affect pregnant women and their families, sometimes with adverse outcomes. The State and Community Intimate Partner Violence and Postpartum Depression Resource Development Project is a three-year initiative to work collaboratively with State and community-based programs to develop resources that will assist them with their efforts to address IPV/PPD as co-morbidities in the communities they serve.
