Description:
This report will provide an assessment of the prevalence and factors associated with intimate partner violence in an understudied population, HIV-negative, heterosexual, female methamphetamine users in San Diego, CA. Data for this study comes from baseline interviews of an ongoing HIV behavioral intervention trial designed to reduce high-risk sexual practices, methamphetamine use, and depressive symptoms. Identification of the prevalence and associated factors of intimate partner violence in this population is critical to future research, programs and intervention development.
