  3. Identify strategies to support programme effectiveness.
Description:
The New Zealand Violence Intervention Programme (VIP) seeks to reduce and prevent the health impacts of violence and abuse through early identification, assessment, and referral of victims presenting to health services. This session presents findings from an external evaluation monitoring the systems development of VIP in hospitals across six audit periods (2003 - 2011). Programme successes and lessons learned are presented and strategies for future programme direction discussed.
