Description:
The Lethality Assessment Program-Maryland Model (LAP) is a practical application of the research of Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell of The Johns Hopkins University on intimate partner violence. The goal of the LAP is to prevent domestic violence homicide by identifying high risk victims in the field and encouraging them to utilize the services of domestic violence programs. The LAP features a research-based lethality screening tool and an accompanying proactive protocol that provides direction for field practitioners, including health care professionals.
