- Explore the process of translating qualitative and photovoice data into an innovative awareness-building and educational Toolkit
- Recognize the systemic barriers to housing faced by women leaving violent relationships
- Identify strategies for facilitating community dialogue and action on the barriers to housing for women leaving violence using an innovative Toolkit
We will present and facilitate discussion regarding the development of a Digital Storytelling Toolkit on the barriers to long-term housing for women leaving violent relationships. The Toolkit includes a short DVD and facilitator's guide, designed to foster awareness, dialogue, and action. The Toolkit represents an innovative knowledge exchange strategy building on findings from a Photovoice research project conducted with diverse groups of women in four communities across British Columbia, Canada.
